Day Eight - Gundagai not Canberra

Gundagai was the impromptu stop for Day 8.  The River Caravan Park at Gundagai happily accommodated our bunch where we were nicely situated right under the bridge by the river.  The scenic location offered old train bridges and fields full of purple wildflowers.

A mandatory visit and photo opportunity was also had with the Dog on the Tuckerbox.  The challenge for this evening was to cook a $2 meal for Captain Amazing - Kelly took out first class honours with her banana crepes with passionfruit coulis!  Look out Jamie Oliver.

WAR Day Six: Sydney Convention Centre

After arriving at the half way point in Sydney (after a brief photo opportunity in Swansea) the teams were set their latest set of challenges.

The venue for the days activities was the Sydney Convention Centre which was holding the Sydney Backpackers and Adventure Expo, and of course, fancy dress was the order of the day with the theme being Red!

The main challenge of the day was to land the most strategically located Wicked tattoo on a member of the public – a challenging task for someone dressed as Santa Claus on a hot Spring day.

While there were numerous tattoos well placed on cleavage and buttocks, first prize was awarded for tattooing the belly of a salt water crocodile.

At the half way mark, the scores are:

CCM 12
Jolly Rodgers 6 1/3
Chuck Norris 6 1/3
Down Under Bar 6
Ninja Toms 5
Pinoy 3 1/3
Team America 0

WAR Day Four: Pacific Palms to Blacksmiths

...and the winner of the Lakeside Volleyball tournament was none other than Team CCM!

After the game our friends at Sundowner Tiona Holiday Park treated us to a lavish barbeque and the most delightful morning tea imaginable. Having stuffed our guts, it was time for the show to get back on the road.

The wicked convoy rolled onwards through the spectacular Lakes Area to parochial Newcastle and finally to Blacksmiths Beach, where we'd be meeting our wicked friends at Blacksmiths Beachside Holiday Park for a BBQ and much merry making. The weather took a turn for the worse and it started raining. Good thing everybody had campervans to sleep in and not soggy old tents!

WAR Day Three: Coffs Harbour to Pacific Palms

After recovering from the previous day's surf lesson, surf competition and epic beach party, the teams ventured onwards to Pacific Palms, which is near Forster-Tuncurry in NSW.

Our gracious hosts for the evening were Sundowner Tiona Tourist Park, another Wicked Friend of ours.

Unfortunately, the game of Beach Lake Volleyball which was to be the day's challenge activity had to be postponed to the next morning due to rain. As soon as we find out how it went we'll post an update.

WAR Day Two: Byron Bay to Coffs Harbour

The second day of the Wicked Advneture Rally saw the teams take to the beach for a surfing lesson courtesy of our Wicked Friends over at Mojo Surf

The challenge activity for the day was... you guessed it... a surfing competition!. Everybody gave it a terrific effort and the team from Brisbane's very own Down Under Bar came a very close second to current points leaders, Team CCM. Reports from the road suggest that Kelly Slater may have reason to be concerned about job security.

After a long, hard day of learning how to be beach bums the teams settled in for an awesome spread from the chicks at Mojo Surf (FOOD, that is!) and an epic beach party just outside Coffs Harbour.
